Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of her four siblings, was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. The parents of Audrey Tautou, both dentists, as well as a teacher at school, supported and encouraged her early passion for theatre and drama. The initial goal of her to be a monkey expert was eclipsed by her wish to learn about drama and theater. Success in the beginning and an immediate growth in popularity made her a promising young actor. In 1998, following the completion of her masters degree, she was asked to take part in Jeunes Premiers which is which is a French television talent-scouting program that was sponsored by Canal+. She also received the award for Best Young Actress prize at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. That led her begin her professional acting career. While she attended an institution called the Institut Catholique de Paris and was a member of the church during her childhood, Tautou has shunned her religious upbringing and has stated that she's not Catholic. She pursued a career in modeling as well as acting and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel frequently referred to as the Chanel Muse. Additionally, she is a keen passion for photography. She recently presented an exhibit of her work for the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. The photographs she takes tends to focus on fame and celebrities. The camera's lens is focused on journalists who have scrutinised the actress following her sudden popularity. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame when she landed her debut role as the lead role in Le Fabuleux Destiny d'Amelie. Amelie received international acclai box offices and was well-received during awards ceremonies around the globe. The film is still one of the top-performing French film in the US. Following this film, Tautou appeared in many films ranging from British film to Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. Later, she made her way to Hollywood and was in the film with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code.
